I've played graphite shafts for the last couple of years but I needed improved trajectory for a better ball flight. This shaft did the trick. Lightweight shaft with great performance, buy one, try one we'll be impressed.

I have been looking for a steel shaft that was similar to the weight of graphite. These shafts are exactly that. I built my very first set of irons using the Acer Mantera heads 8-L. Got a chance to try them out over the weekend. They felt really solid and hit the same distance as my older 75 gram Cobras. I have played graphite irons for years due to having a slower swing speed. If you would like the consistency of steel and the lightness of graphite, these shafts are for you. If I ever decide to change heads, the shafts will remain.

I replaced my custom fitted grahite shafts with APMACL75 steel shafts and added distance and improved accuracy (I am 80 yrs old with an index handicap of 17.3 and walk the course three times per week). I would definitely recommend these light weight steel shafts vis-a-vis graphite for seniors. And no need spend money on spine-aligning or puring. I did the re-shafting myself.

Trimmed same as graphite to maintain D-2 swing weight. Feels good. Will always prefer steel over graphite in irons, and this steel shaft is in the weight realm of graphite.

I decided on Apollo Phantom shafts and tipped the flex in-between a REG and a STIFF. The results were superb, I can fire at almost any green and this club/shaft combination will perform as I expect it to. I just completed the entire iron set and now it's time to play golf!

They have the feel/weight of a Graphite shafted iron but more accurate. Distance was 5+ yards per club. My main concern was the high kickpoint, but the launch angle was solid and was still able to hit medium trajectory shots. Would recommend these highly.

What I especially like about the Acculite 85 shaft is that it combines the control of a steel shaft and the speed of a graphite shaft, at extremely moderate price. Also very attractive shaft graphics. The 92 gram raw weight is a perfect compromise between too-light graphite and too-heavy standard steel. What's not to like at this price point?

Could not be more pleased with the performance of these shafts! Great feel with the reduced weight, getting good distance and great accuracy!

first time I've used these shafts and I'm impressed. Very tight dispersion between shafts and easy to work with. The ball flight is mid-high as spec'd and the shaft has excellent feel at contact. I will be using these again very soon.
